Gift of Hope, Inc. is a Georgia registered non-profit organization
Founded by Connie Beher, Gift of Hope Georgia was created to service some pressing needs of local foster families.
From her personal foster parent experience, starting in 2002, she began collecting toys, clothes, shoes, diapers… so she could help other children in foster care feel welcome in their new homes.
Over the past two decades, Gift of Hope, Inc. has evolved. We now partner with the Department of Family and Children Services to support over 500 foster children every year.
What we do
In addition to assisting with the transition to a new home, Gift of Hope, Inc. also provides support to local foster care families throughout the entire year by providing Easter baskets, Christmas gifts, and school supplies, as well as transportation services.
- Christmas drive supporting more than 600+ foster children and their families
- Easter drive - provide over 600 Easter baskets for DFCS
- Back to School drive provided over 600 backpacks filled with school supplies to local foster children
- Diapers and wipes for 200+ babies entering foster care
- 450 Welcome bags (New Socks, underwear, pair of pajamas, toiletries and age appropriate book are included) provide for local foster children and DFCS
